What is Run 3?

Run 3 is a space-themed endless runner and platformer developed by Joseph Cloutier. You control a small alien running automatically through suspended tunnels filled with gaps and crumbling tiles. The signature mechanic is gravity rotation: whenever you touch a side wall, the entire tunnel rotates ninety degrees, turning that wall into your new floor so you can keep running on a different surface.
The game offers two main modes. Explore Mode takes you through hundreds of interconnected levels where you can practice tricky sections and discover alternate routes. Infinite Mode is an endless survival challenge focused on collecting power cells. There are nine characters to unlock, each with distinct abilities that change how you approach levels, such as the Skater's high speed or the Lizard's powerful jump.

How to Play

On desktop, use the Left and Right arrow keys to move sideways, and press the Up arrow or Spacebar to jump. On mobile, use the on-screen virtual buttons. Holding the jump key produces a longer, higher jump, while tapping gives a shorter hop for precise landings.
Because your character runs automatically, you must constantly look ahead and plan your next landing. Crumbling tiles detach shortly after you touch them, so do not linger. Ice tiles accelerate your movement and require earlier jumps, while conveyor belts shift your timing depending on their direction. If you are about to fall into a gap, aim for the nearest side wall—touching it rotates gravity and can save you from a fatal plunge.

Characters and Progression

Power cells are the main currency for unlocking new characters and are earned by playing Explore Mode, completing achievements, and collecting them in Infinite Mode. The starting character, Runner, is a balanced all-rounder. Other characters include the Skater for speed, the Lizard for high jumps, the Bunny that jumps constantly, and the Gentleman who attracts nearby power cells. You can switch characters mid-level through the pause menu, which is useful when a particular level feels impossible with your current alien.
